Robot installation

Takram was in charge of creative direction and interaction design of the new "Robot Anatomy" exhibition which opened in April 2017 at Chiba Institute of Technology's Tokyo Skytree Town® Campus.

Concept

Robots are made by combining a lot of precision parts; cameras and sensors to grasp the surroundings, multiple motors to accomplish complex leg movements, and brains that integrate and control them. Robot Anatomy captures the robot Halluc II at various angles with a camera, and then superimposes computer graphics of the robot on the live video feed, enabling us to observe and understand its complex inner workings.
