Haneda Airport Lounge

Takram was in charge of creative direction of the Haneda Airport POWER LOUNGE with Nippon Design Center and Hara Design Institute. Alongside Azusa Sekkei (Tamura Design Room) who was responsible for space and interior design, we have created a lounge space that provides a smooth experience for customers and staff. Using observation and interviews with the lounge users and field staff we designed the circulation, and flow of people using the shape of the lounge and the furniture arrangement. The number of users at the Haneda Airport Lounge is expected to increase in the future, and therefore this design takes into consideration functional aspects such as placement and zoning of seats to eliminate congestion as well as the layout of the kitchen to allow staff to move efficiently.
